Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY

This Policy is a legally binding agreement between you ("user," "visitor," "you," or "your") and this Website administrator or operator ("administrator," "operator," "we," "us," or "our"). 


This is the Cancellation Policy (the "Policy") for A-Z Property Care, accessible from www.a-zpropertycare.co.uk. 


By using our website, requesting a quotation for services, and accepting a quote, you are bound by our cancellation policy and hereby agree to its contents. We will fulfil the contract as agreed between both parties. Time in the diary will be allocated to your job/service, and materials will be sourced before arriving for the service/job. Only in extreme unexpected circumstances will this need to be re arranged by prior arrangement.   


Cancelling before the work has started

A contract is formed when either you (the customer) or A-Z Property Care makes an offer and the other party accepts. Contracts do not have to be a signed document. Types of contract include

  • agreed      to a quote (you could have done this verbally)
  • fixed a      starting date
  • paid a      deposit
  • verbally      told us to go ahead with the work


Once a service, quote or verbal agreement has been reached. This becomes a contract between two parties. You (the customer) agree to pay us, A-Z Property Care the amount on the quote or verbal agreement for services agreed in the payment terms (30 days from invoice). Cancelling will be breaking that agreement. 


We may ask you to pay for either or both of the following:

  • a      cancellation fee
  • any      loss of profit caused by your cancellation (eg if we set aside time to do      your work and can’t book another job for the same period)

If you gave a deposit we might hold some or all it to help cover our loss if any. 


Cancelling after the work’s started

We will only begin work if you’ve formed a contract, either written or verbal. We may ask you to pay for any or all of the following:

  • a      cancellation fee
  • labour      costs up until the time you cancelled
  • any      items installed or fitted that can’t be removed without damaging them
  • the      return of any items that have been delivered but not installed (or can be      easily uninstalled)
  • any      loss of profit caused by your cancellation (eg where we set aside time to      do your work and can’t book another job for the same period)


You have a ‘cooling-off’ period of 14 days to cancel and get a refund if you arranged the service:

  • over      the phone
  • on the      internet/email
  • somewhere      else outside their business (eg in the street or at your home or      workplace)


When the cooling-off period begins

Your cooling-off period will begin the day after you give the go-ahead for the work to be done.

For any goods that you’ve ordered as part of the work, your cooling-off period for returning them depends on the type of order:

  • if      you’ve ordered a single item, or several items that will be delivered in      one batch, your cooling-off period starts the day after the delivery is      made
  • if      you’ve placed a one off order for several different items that will be      delivered at different times, your cooling-off period starts the day after      the last item is delivered
  • if      you’ve placed an order for several deliveries of the same items over a      period of time, your cooling-off period starts the day after the first      delivery



· If you asked for the service to be provided during the cooling-off period, you’ll have to pay a part of the agreed price. The amount will depend on how much was completed when you asked to cancel.


To avoid any cancellation charges or any loss of profit charges or material charges, we recommend you provide cancellation notice within the 14 days cooling off period.
